Ross Cooper
General Manager, Andaz One Bangkok
Ross began his career with Hyatt International in 1997 after earning his degree in Hospitality Management from Auckland University of Technology. He started as a Corporate Trainee at Grand Hyatt Melbourne, and the following year, he joined the opening team of Park Hyatt Melbourne, where he developed his skills in various Food and Beverage roles, including at the award-winning radii restaurant.
In 2020, Ross transitioned to Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, where he held diverse roles in both Food & Beverage and Catering & Convention departments. In 2008, he became the Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at Grand Hyatt Tokyo, overseeing the operations of ten restaurants, bars, and events. His career progressed as he was appointed Hotel Manager at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen in 2011 and later his inaugural General Manager role at Park Hyatt Busan in 2014.
Returning to Japan, he managed the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills following its opening phase, helping establish the hotel as one of Japan’s leading luxury lifestyle properties, showcasing modern design and reflecting Japanese culture. In 2022, he was appointed General Manager at Hyatt Internationals flagship Grand Hyatt Tokyo. Currently, Ross is based in Bangkok, leading the opening of Andaz One Bangkok, the second Andaz property in Thailand.
