Alan Wong is a visionary hotelier and design-driven developer best known as the founder and owner of The LUMA Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah — Malaysia’s first hotel inducted into the prestigious Design Hotels by Marriott Bonvoy and Michelin Guide Tablet Hotels. The LUMA has garnered multiple international accolades, particularly in the hotel design category, for its bold storytelling and immersive architecture.

As CEO of Magma Property, a subsidiary of Magma Group Berhad, Alan currently leads the development of WOLO Hotel & Residences in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur — a mixed-use, luxury project comprising an all-suite boutique hotel, private residences, branded suites, and a curated F&B lifestyle enclave. WOLO aims to redefine urban hospitality with a soulful, sustainable, and design-forward narrative.

Holding a Master of Architecture from the University of Auckland, Alan brings decades of multidisciplinary experience in concept architecture, interior design, and real estate development. His portfolio spans luxury resorts, high-end residential towers, boutique hotels, and bespoke private homes across Southeast Asia.
